Mission Statement

The generic stock photo to your left is symbolic to our literary mission, You see, we here at bone&marrow believe that the best writers create work that can be deemed "raw" or "gritty" or "unfit for publication." Our goal is to help others get over the mountain of what is considered to be good writing. In conclusion, give us your tired, your poor, your huddled poems and prose yearning to breathe free. Also, give us cat pictures.

Tom Franken is a graduate of Youngstown State University. Mallory Rader spends a majority of her time in the fetal position. She is the Assistant Editor of both Jenny Magazine and Penguin Review. She searches for any amount of pretentiousness when examining a bad piece of work. She has been published in Ink and Voices, The Write Launch, Volney Road Review, Fourth and Sycamore, and others.
